Polka-Dotty

There's something about overkill that just makes me so happy! Isn't this little camper adorable?! I would definitely have to make an outfit to match too...

Model Moment

Just taking a minute to introduce one of my fave models, Monika Jagaciak (yes, she's Polish!), aka Jac, who has had to wait a few years to walk the runway. She did a Hermes campaign at 13, and this fall, finally old enough to walk in Paris, she opened and closed the Calvin Klein show (and also scored the Fall campaign!). After seeing her in a bunch of Fall '09 shows, I just think she's so striking. Plus, she's Polish... Anyway here are some pics (Marni, MaxMara, D&G, all fall '09). Back soon! xox

Coulda, Woulda, Shoulda

Here is the tragic story of how I almost had the hottest shoes ever. I saw them at Nordstrom a few weeks ago from across the room. They were glowing and pulled me over like a magnet! I just HAD to have them! Of course, they didn't have my size, but the guy said he could easily order them and have them sent to me. For some idiotic reason, I said, oh, its okay, I'll get them another time and set down the teeny sample size I'd been clutching like a birdie. I thought I'd just wait. Well, yeah, that was SO DUMB! I went back like a week later and there were none left in my size- in the whole country! I almost cried. And I have searched the entire internet but there seems to be some serious big-foot discrimination going on because there's not a size 11 to be found! Don't let this happen to you. As my dearest BF is constantly reminding me- You can always return it! (because yes, this kind of thing has happened to me before, and every time I forget stores do have return policies!)
These were the hottest shoes I've ever seen! (even more neon pink in real life). I'm going to cry myself to sleep now...

Back to Reality...

The past week has been pretty crazy, and I definitely need a few days (that I don't have!) to recover! My trip to NYC was super fun and as soon as I got back, I had to get into full FASHION SHOW mode. The show was in an art gallery downtown and turned out awesome! No major disasters and lots of really good feedback. There are millions of pics coming, but here are a few that I got with my camera (the last 4 are pics of my designs!). This week is going to be crazy trying to catch up with all my sewing projects, papers and tests for school that I ignored all last week... I'll try to post as much as possible! It's good to be back and to have a little bit of time to check back on everyone and all your fun blogs!
Happy Monday Hotties! xox

Hot Mama!

I love love LOVE the colour of this Antonio Berardi dress Victoria Beckham wore out to dinner in London the other night. She really can do no wrong, in my opinion!
I'm getting ready for my quick trip to NYC- I have some interviews which I am VERY excited about! Now if I ony had this outfit...

Suit Up, Gucci Styles

It's 'goodbye' blah winter suits and 'HELLO' fab spring colours! There are many to choose from (and not only from the Gucci runway!) in every shade imaginable. I love spring because so many more designers embrace colour and run with it. The rest of the Gucci collection is definitely one to check out- it is really incredible! Happy Monday Beauties!

White Hot Winners

You know spring is here when you see the return of the little white dress! It's the brightest, cleanest, cutest thing you can get to welcome the warm weather. It's one thing that comes back every year, without fail. Here are a few of the latest versions for Spring '09!
(Personally, I'm going to wait until I get a bit of a tan before wearing mine, because I don't want to blind anyone with my pastiness, but I know that some of you dolls have the most beautiful skin year round! So get out those white dresses and make us pale princesses jealous!)

IKEA Finds

There's nothing like IKEA to get you excited and inspired to decorate! You have to be careful because as you walk through, you suddenly feel like you need EVERYTHING! The BF and I went the other night and picked up a few things for our new place. We have to go back with the truck because some of the stuff wouldn't fit in the car! This rug (the circles are a little more neon than they appear in the pic) now sits in the living room and the lamp hangs over it! The lamp is awesome because its so big and has a fishing rod feel to it. We also got this giant leaf from the kids section that will go over the bed and make it feel like a jungle! We also got some (delicious!) Swedish chocolate that we haven't had since we were in Sweden in 2005 (where we also met and fell in looooove! hehehe). We're going to the bookstore now to find Intersection Magazine- because Joe's car is in it! Have a fab night loves!

Spring Picks of the Day!

Rebecca Minkoff bag with florescent detail: $615, revolveclothing.com
I love this bag because it's simple but has the bright edging that makes it new and totally perfect for this spring!

Boyfriend military jacket: $98, Jcrew.com
This jacket is perfect if you want to start wearing your spring dresses before it gets super warm out. Plus, it will give you that perfect masculine-feminine combo.

MICHAEL by Michael Kors metallic platform sandal: $149.95, nordstrom.com
This sandal will definitely make any outfit HOT, and it actually looks pretty comfortable. It comes in black too, but I love this colour for spring and it goes with everything!

Asymmetrical Mike & Chirs stripped dress: $275, revolveclothing.com
I am so in love with this dress. It looks super comfortable and has sweet button details and pockets. If it goes on sale, I think I just might have to get it!

Tulip skirt: $69, Bananarepublic.com
This skirt is great because it has a cute print, but can easily function as a neutral. The shiny fabric can be dressed up or down, with a nice blouse or a simple tee.

Walk-in Wonderful

Wow, moving is tough, especially when you have to drag everything to the third floor! But, finally it's done! There's still a ton of unpacking and decorating to do (We're hitting up the new IKEA tonight!), but for the most part we're settled in!
The other night, after many trips up and down stairs, I was so excited to organize my awesome new closet, but I guess I was so exhausted that I didn't get very far and ended up falling asleep! The BF took this pic of me and then woke me up and made me get in bed.
I'm still not finished putting everything away, but I just wanted to give you a glance into my FAVE new spot! I think I might even have to do some more shopping to fill up all the space...hmmm...how convenient since I'm super excited to check out all the shopping in Charlotte! If anyone has any suggestions, let me know! Have an awesome day lovers!
