Ocean Breeze

A few weekends ago we went to Charleston to catch up with some friends and fam. It's definitely my fave city in North America- If you've never been, GO! and let me know so I can tell you all the fun places you shouldn't miss!

Met up with one of the funniest, sweetest ladies I know (Swanky Peach!)- def a weekend highlight!

Dinner and drinks at Red's...I can't even tell you how perfect it was up there! The dolphins hanging out below were just the cherry on top!

My fave ladies to see in Charleston! A friend of ours had a cray cray redneck party!

Me and Joe...I love this guy! :D

It's almost the weekend! Happy Thursday Dolls!

Wedding Weekend!

Last weekend we went to our friends' wedding and had the best time! They had the most AWESOME candy buffet I've EVER seen! I definitely got my sugar fix that night! They also had a super fun photo booth- which you can see we took full advantage of! It was awesome to hang out with friends we don't get to see very often, and watch two awesome people commit their lives to each other!
Love...le sigh!

Hope everyone's having an awesome weekend!!!

Me and the hubs! Isn't he handsome?! :)

(Me, workin' the 'trying to make me look good' pose, haha, wearing BCBG dress, Nine West heels, long-ass earrings)

Saturday Fun

Yesterday was such a loooong, but super fun, day! We got up BEFORE 7am to go to this huge rummage sale with our neighbours! It was full of fun treasures, and I picked up a few things. This was followed by coffee and delicious treats from our local (and AMAZING) bakery- which will probably make our wedding cakes too!
Next we went to the mall for a little fun. I found a white watch- something I've been wanting for awhile now! Actually, Joe was the one who found it and made me bring it home with us! I love that he will shop with me AND has such awesome taste *sigh*! hehe
Here it is!
After the mall I made another batch of DELISH cupcakes and we had some friends over for pizza and, yes, said cupcakes!
The day felt so long, because normally we don't get out of bed before 7am...on a saturday. Madness.
But, it was such a good one...maybe we'll do it more often!
Okay, probably not.
Have a fun Sunday everyone! I think we may be off to Ikea for some hot dogs and ice cream- and definitely some more cupcakes! :D
XOXO

Golden Globe Fashion

As usual, the Red Carpet of the Golden Globes was packed with stunning beauties and incredible fashions. I love to see what the girls wear and how they choose to accessorize and do their hair.
I like to watch Fashion Police the next day because then you get to see the people who interview the celebs and compliment their choices turn around and bash them. Nice.

Sandra Bullock in Bottega Venetta. I don't love the fabric- it looks like the curtains we just got from Ikea. Plus, the sheer bottom's a little weird. The color is gorgeous on her, but I think she could have chose a more flattering, form-fitting style. With that body, why not!? I did like her hair though- easy and chic!

I liked Drew Barrymore in Atelier Versace, but I could have done without that hip pouf. Either that or lose the clutch and use that thing to carry your stuff- a red carpet fanny pack! I wish the color had been a little brighter and her hair a teeny bit looser, but overall, pretty.

One of my faves...Emily Blunt in Dolce & Gabbana. I love the ruffles of pink chiffon. It's so romantic and she looks very comfortable at the same time. The hair was just okay- but it could have been the rain that flattened it out on top!

Fergie in Elie Saab. Meh. Just okay. Its pretty, but a little boring. Her hair is a little much. She did bring a hot date though!

Cameron Diaz in Alexander McQueen. I love the dress, but the hair and makeup!? Love her, but theis is definitely not her best...

Chloe Sevigny in Valentino. A little too much ruffle for me- and I do love lots of ruffle. I think I would have liked it better if she matched it with some BIG hair. But she never does big hair- maybe next time! Also, not a huge fan of the color.

Nicole Kidman in Nina Ricci. She just can't stay away from the nudes...and while I don't hate the dress, I think it could have been a lot better. My one problem were her nipples, trying hard to escape! Yikes!

Marion Cottilard in Dior- One of my faves! She is stunning and the whole look is perfect!

Love the color of Diane Kruger's Christian Lacroix gown. The top is a little weird- too much going on there. It would have been a lot better with no sleeves- or maybe just one. I usually love her style, but tonight was just okay.

Toni Collette in Elie Saab. This dress was so much more stunning on TV. It sparkled so beautifully. DEFINITELY one of my faves! Her hair and makeup were perfect and she just looked STUNNING!

Glenn Close in Oscar de la Renta. Such a glamorous, sophisticated, fun and age-appropriate gown. Love it!

There was something weird about the hem of Kristen Bell's Jasmine di Milo dress. It's awkward and cheap looking. From the waist up, she's such a cutie, but the rest was a mess!

Julia Roberts in vintage YSL. She's gorgeous, but come on, this is sooo boring! You can wear anything in the world, and you choose this?! I bet she wears fancier things to the grocery store. Boo.

Anna Kendrick was super cute in her Marchesa dress, although I though the print was a bit old. Her skin and hair were flawless! I wish it had a little more color, but that's just me and my color obsession!

Maggie Gyllenhaal in Rouland Mouret. The dress would have been so much better if her hair and makeup up were a bit more relaxed. Ok, a LOT more relaxed.

Zoe Saldana in Louis Vuitton. I LOVE the color on her, and LOVE the dress! There's a lot going on, but this is a fun event! She's just so gorgeous to begin with that anything would look good on her.

Felicity Huffman in Jenny Packham- she looked SO good! The sparkle framed her face so well and her rockin' bod didn't hurt either! This is one pale dress that I though was PERFECT!

Sofia Vergara in Carolina Hererra- I LOVE this color on her- the back is also amazing (big orgami-like bow with more of the cranberry color).

Lea Michele in Oscar de la Renta. Awesome gown. Good hair too.

Olivia Wilde in Gucci. This girl just doesn't know how to look bad. LOVE!

Good color, bad dress. This isn't prom, people. Lauren Graham's hair just didn't go with it either. Too bad.

Heather Graham in Elie Saab. One word- stunning!

Christina Hendricks in Christian Siriano (yup, the guy that won Project Runway). He made this dress for her. I like it but, again, the color could have been better. It blends into her a bit too much. She is gorgeous though.

Alright, that's all for now! Seriously, what would I give to be able to dress up like this for just one night....SO FUN!
Which ones are your faves/worst dressed!?

Friday I'm In Love

Hey Dolls!
Ahhhh...FINALLY the weekend! YAY! This week has been busy, and although there's a bit of work to be done this weekend, I plan to take it easy! First of all, I spent so much time this week (procrastinating) making a video for you guys for my October Faves and I just can't get it to post! Anyway, i'll keep working on it but it's sooo frustrating! (I am so not tech-savvy!)
I stayed at school last night, so I'm SO excited to bet back to my BF and cat! Yes, it's only been like a day, but what can I say...I'm SO in LOVE!
This weekend there are so many things I want to do...

Sleep in and snuggle...
Enjoying autumn! The fall weather is just starting to kick in, and the colors are out. I love some nice sweater weather- as long as it doesn't get much colder!

Going to check out the puppies that are up for adoption! I know we can't get one yet, but that doesn't stop me from planning!!!

Catch up on some reading...new issues arriving soon! (PS. Kristen Stewart and Rob Pattinson on the cover of December Bazaar!!! Will post shortly!)

Go to IKEA to pick up some fun things for our new house!!! Move in date: t minus 9 days!!!
Check out the MAC Miscief Makers collection that came out yesterday and try not to buy anything. yikes.
Do you guys have fun plans for the weekend!? Live, love, laugh, and don't forget that Halloween candy is on SUPERsale now, so pick it up while there's some left! (i was going to put up a candy pic, but that was a given...hahaha yes, i have a problem!)
LOVE YOU!!!
