Boots with the Fur

I'm looking for a pair of boots that are over-the-knee, but can be folded down- fur is key! I tried on the ones on the right at Nordstrom- Sam Edelman, $198 Ugh, they are so cozy and pretty! A little pricey though...BUT, then I came across the ones on the left on the American Eagle website for $79. Hmmm...now they look pretty similar, don't they!? Yes, the fur on the AE ones looks a little less soft, and they are a bit more scrunchy, but all in all, pretty close huh!? Although I haven't seen them in person, I think I might try the AE ones. For a $120 savings, it's worth a try! What do you guys think!?!

Words that don't exist in English

Meraki: (Greek) Doing something with soul, creativity, or love.

Forelsket: (Norwegian) The euphoria you experience when you are first falling in love.

Gigil: (Filipino) The urge to pinch or squeeze something that is unbearably cute.

Pochemuchka: (Russian) A person who asks a lot of questions.

Pena ajena: (Mexican Spanish) The embarrassment you feel watching someone else’s humiliation.

Cualacino: (Italian) The mark left on a table by a cold glass.

Ilunga: (Tshiluba, Congo) A person who is ready to forgive any abuse for the first time, to tolerate it a second time, but never a third time.

Wedding continued...

Here's a sneak peak at some more wedding pics from my photographer! Ugh, I can't wait to see more!!! It's a rainy wednesday that is just making me want to curl up and snuggle in bed all day! Too bad there's lots to do. I'm going to a wedding this weekend and still have nothing to wear! Help!

Sweet Medicine

A little sad today because I'm missing my friends wedding this weekend back home...I guess it's just one of those things that happens when you live far away and don't have a private jet, or just can't get off of work and make the 15 hour drive...
So, to eat away my feelings, I went to this AMAZING bakery/cafe near my house and had the most DELICIOUS french toast ever! Croissant bread? check. homemade whipped cream? check. strawberries and bananas and syrup. triple check. So good, that I just had to get a pic...
Okay, I think I might need to be sad a bit more often...
Anyway, happy friday lovers, and I hope everyone has an awesome weekend. Spend some time with someone you love, and if you're far away from that someone, I think skype is the next best thing!

Carmen Kass for Elle Spain

There's nothing cooler than a little bit of leopard print for fall. Loving the little pops of leopard in the second pic...oh, and those shoes- I need them! I think Carmen Kass has found some magical cure for aging. I swear she's looked the same for FOREVER! Not so sure about the ostrich feather loincloth though...
I think a leopard dress over leopard tights under a faux fur leopard coat, topped with leopard booties, leopard gloves and leopard beret (ohh and of course, leopard purse) is going to be my go-to fall outfit. Yes?

We Totally Got Married!!!

It really was the best day ever! No, best WEEK ever! I got to spend it with my best friends and awesome fam (old and new!). I can't even describe how cool it was to have everyone there together! Ugh, can we do it again, please!? Here are a few pics....
The dresses were all wearable! No horrible disasters and I thought my girls looked AWESOME!!!

Joe wore his Jordans! (you don't know it, but I'm wearing mine under my dress!)

Bridal Party- hottest bridal party ever, I might add!

My sis, helping me get ready! One of my fave parts of the day was getting dolled up with my besties...someone else needs to get married so we can do it again- quick!

Awwww......loves!
