Garden Princess

I did the makeup for my friend Rosie's photoshoot last week. It was so much fun and the final outcome is gorgeous! Here are two pics from the shoot!
(On a side note, I tried on some super-glittery Louboutins today and I'm in LOVE!!!)

Sneak Peek

Who's excited for the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show?! ME! haha. The BF, no, fiancee (!) and I watch it every year...I really have to tie him to the couch for this one! haha. Anyway, here's a sneak peek! I want Miranda Kerr's black outfit and especially those boots!!! The show will be on TV December 1st!
p.s. My unbelievably lucky friend in NYC auditioned to be in the audience (it was based purely on looks!) and made it!!! Yay Kirsten!

Workin' It

This weekend, I got to be a part of the fashion show at the Rock and Shop Market in Durham! It was so much fun and I met lots of cool people! It was pretty last minute, so I didn't have time to make anything new. These pieces are from past shows and collections I've done. Here are a few backstage pics with my HOT models!
Oh and a BIG shoutout to Shea and her girls at the Garden Salon in Durham for doing the AMAZING hair and makeup! If you're ever in Durham, you NEED to go there! They are awesome! (The salon is so GORGEOUS too- amazing pink with funky wallpaper and chandeliers. LOVE IT!) Thanks Shea!

Muted Monochrome

I love the muted colours and monochrome styling in the Lacoste Fall '09 show. Okay, so I'm not quite ready to get my autumn-layering on, but this collection has a ton of pieces perfect for transitioning from hot summer to crisp fall. My one particular obsession of this show is the amazing sock boot- that can be worn scrunched below the knee, or stretched into thigh-high perfection! I want a pair of these babies SO badly! Along with the clothes in this collection, they have the look of ease and comfort while still being chic and stylish. I love the monochrome men's outfits too...I dream of my BF and I wearing monochrome in the same colour on a fun night out...haha it would be awesome!
Anyway, also loving the scrunched gloves, oversized cardi (sans pants!), turtle hoods, casual hair and simple make-up! Super easy...and I want it all! xxx

Model Moment

Just taking a minute to introduce one of my fave models, Monika Jagaciak (yes, she's Polish!), aka Jac, who has had to wait a few years to walk the runway. She did a Hermes campaign at 13, and this fall, finally old enough to walk in Paris, she opened and closed the Calvin Klein show (and also scored the Fall campaign!). After seeing her in a bunch of Fall '09 shows, I just think she's so striking. Plus, she's Polish... Anyway here are some pics (Marni, MaxMara, D&G, all fall '09). Back soon! xox

Back to Reality...

The past week has been pretty crazy, and I definitely need a few days (that I don't have!) to recover! My trip to NYC was super fun and as soon as I got back, I had to get into full FASHION SHOW mode. The show was in an art gallery downtown and turned out awesome! No major disasters and lots of really good feedback. There are millions of pics coming, but here are a few that I got with my camera (the last 4 are pics of my designs!). This week is going to be crazy trying to catch up with all my sewing projects, papers and tests for school that I ignored all last week... I'll try to post as much as possible! It's good to be back and to have a little bit of time to check back on everyone and all your fun blogs!
Happy Monday Hotties! xox
