I love bows

I fell in love with this Ralph Lauren tie neck blouse and finally got around to buying it! I was having trouble finding something to wear with it, because it's more preppy than I normally go. I paired it with my dark purple high-waist skirt, a high bouncy bun, blue tights, boots and was good to go!

Hot Mail

Will you be getting a Christmas card from the Kardashians this year?!
I wish...How awesome is this pic!? I'm totally dressing up my hubs and animals next year...

Swan Lake

First pics of Nicole Richie's wedding dress (1 of 3!) are out! it's a GORGEOUS Marchesa...and soooo perfect! She looks amazing, as usual! I love her hair too- reminds me of my AMAZING bridesmaids! Ugh, we need another wedding, people!

Dream Denim

I've never bought a pair of Miss Me jeans before, but when I saw this bling-y pair, I fell in love! They are super fun and long enough for my legs! I love the big stitching and the distress on the front...I'd definitely recommend them to anyone who likes a jean with some stretch, and little rock and roll!

Fresh Face

I'm such a make-up geek, so here are this months over-used products!

I've been using the MAC In The Gallery quad pretty much everyday. I'm still super obsessed with purples, so of course, this works! There's no sparkle in this quad, so I always make sure to add some- it is the Christmas season afterall!

This foundation is definitely full coverage- which sometimes is what I need- especially after the many sleepless nights! It's def been my december go-to.

MAC Bubblegum lipstick...a perfect pink to go with all the purple!

Urban Decay Flash is the perfect addition of a little sparkle and bright pop of color! I've almost hit pan in this one, and I can't say that a lot!

Sew Fun!

Hello, and sorry for being so MIA, but....I'm OFFICIALLY DONE school FOREVER!!! (again!) but for real this time! The last month has been me in my sweatshop, trying to get my final collection done. By then end of it, my sewing machine had really had enough and I had to really push it through the final stretch! We made it! Now time to focus on the important things like CHRISTMAS!!! hope everyone's getting excited!

Christmas Shopping 101

Try putting this one under the tree...the Neiman Marcus Chrismas catalogue is out, and look- you can get an EDIBLE, life-size gingerbread playhouse! OMG, seriously?! And, it'll only set you back a cool $15,000! As much of a candy fanatic as I am, I think I'd rather have a car, with a big bow on it in the driveway! But, I could definitely do some damage on this thing, if I had too...

Lanvin for H&M

Normally I'm not a fan of designers doing lines for lower-priced retailers. The quality of the clothes is crappy, the fabric feels funny and the manufacturing is shoddy. Just because I can't afford 'real' designer goods, doesn't mean I need a closet full of poorly constructed clothes that cost more than pieces without a famous designers name on them. That said, the Lanvin for H&M collection claims to be the same high quality fabrics of the regular collection...and there are definitely some cute pieces! I'm sure I'll never know because I refuse to be there when the collection launches and have to fight crazed, elbow-throwing women for a chance to get my hands on any of these! Maybe, if everything doesn't sell out in 11 mins, I'll be able to sort calmly through the leftovers and find something fun. So here are the pics from the collection! Let me know if anyone gets a piece of it! It's super cute and I'd love to see it in person when it comes out later this month. On second thought, the pink ruffley dress (at the bottom) just might be worth an elbow-drop.

Would you rather swim in a pool or the ocean?

Ocean, def. Hello, i'm a mermaid.

Ask me anything

Baby J's

We went to Columbia last weekend to hang out with Scott, Nicole and Savannah. Nicole's pregnant and due in December- so exciting! We thought that it was very important that we give the baby (a girl!) her very first pair of Jordan's! Aren't they amazing!?
Nicole showed me the baby's room and it is ADORABLE! And the closet full of awesome outfits- glitter, hearts, tutus, rock & roll, OMG, it almost makes me want to have a baby! hahah okay, not. I do realize it's a little more than a doll...I'm just so excited for their little fashionista!
On the way home, we had a little run-out-of-gas mishap about 10 mins from home. It involved 2 walks to the gas station, a run-in with a skunk (it started getting a puffy, and we made a serious run for it!) and some going through the trash for a container. Anyway, always eventful with the two of us...it was so nice to get in bed, finally!

Boots with the Fur

I'm looking for a pair of boots that are over-the-knee, but can be folded down- fur is key! I tried on the ones on the right at Nordstrom- Sam Edelman, $198 Ugh, they are so cozy and pretty! A little pricey though...BUT, then I came across the ones on the left on the American Eagle website for $79. Hmmm...now they look pretty similar, don't they!? Yes, the fur on the AE ones looks a little less soft, and they are a bit more scrunchy, but all in all, pretty close huh!? Although I haven't seen them in person, I think I might try the AE ones. For a $120 savings, it's worth a try! What do you guys think!?!

Sweet Medicine

A little sad today because I'm missing my friends wedding this weekend back home...I guess it's just one of those things that happens when you live far away and don't have a private jet, or just can't get off of work and make the 15 hour drive...
So, to eat away my feelings, I went to this AMAZING bakery/cafe near my house and had the most DELICIOUS french toast ever! Croissant bread? check. homemade whipped cream? check. strawberries and bananas and syrup. triple check. So good, that I just had to get a pic...
Okay, I think I might need to be sad a bit more often...
Anyway, happy friday lovers, and I hope everyone has an awesome weekend. Spend some time with someone you love, and if you're far away from that someone, I think skype is the next best thing!

Carmen Kass for Elle Spain

There's nothing cooler than a little bit of leopard print for fall. Loving the little pops of leopard in the second pic...oh, and those shoes- I need them! I think Carmen Kass has found some magical cure for aging. I swear she's looked the same for FOREVER! Not so sure about the ostrich feather loincloth though...
I think a leopard dress over leopard tights under a faux fur leopard coat, topped with leopard booties, leopard gloves and leopard beret (ohh and of course, leopard purse) is going to be my go-to fall outfit. Yes?
