Mid-week Pick-me-up!
Went shopping yesterday, but didn't do any major damage...I (fortunately) didn't see much that I just HAD to have! So here's all I got:

MAC Quite Cute lippie...I really didn't think much when I saw it, but I tried it on and loooved the sheer lilac "ice princess" quality! I've been finding more and more that I'll wear lipsticks that don't look super good on me just because I love the color! haha maybe not the best way to be, but it works for me!
A new spring bag! It's super watermelon-y, and just makes me happy. I'd been eying it for awhile...and then I thought it would make a nice super-early birthday prezzie to myself. haha. yup, thanks!

Danger Zone
Yet another mini-mac haul! I just stopped by the counter to check out the new Lady Gaga 2 lippie and lipglass...neither of which did anything for me. I definitely found some fun things though...I just can't leave empty-handed! ugh.
New Sheen Supreme lippie in Supremely Confident. I'm loving a nude lip lately, especially since i like so much color on my lids! This one is so pretty and super moisturizing!

Fresh Face
I'm such a make-up geek, so here are this months over-used products!

I've been using the MAC In The Gallery quad pretty much everyday. I'm still super obsessed with purples, so of course, this works! There's no sparkle in this quad, so I always make sure to add some- it is the Christmas season afterall!
This foundation is definitely full coverage- which sometimes is what I need- especially after the many sleepless nights! It's def been my december go-to.

Beaty Haul
My small Sephora haul! Clockwise from top left:
NARS eyeshadow- AMAZING chartreuse and blue duo! Here's what it looks like:

Bliss Oxygen Energizing Mask- I actually just returned this. Although it felt nice and was fun to use, I don't think it's worth the $52 price tag. I will get something waaaay cooler for that price!
Smashbox eyeliner palette- so many fun colors, and it was FREE!
Philosophy Help Me- special cream for my yucky skin!
NARS Sheer Glow foundation- ran out of my Makeup Forever one, so thought I'd give this a try! so far, so good!
Confessions of a Concealaholic. I am totally loving this little box! I've wanted to try these products for a long time, but never wanted to commit to the regular size. There's nothing in it that I don't like. For around $35, you can't go wrong!

Good times at Sephora, made even better by the fact I got to get all this with my gift certificates! Thanks ladies!
Okay, back to making hundreds of wedding invitations...I hope these are done soon!!! Then getting ready for a delicious birthday dins for my friend Deb! Italian...one of my faves! YUM!
Happy Monday everyone!
Love Yous!

Pink Fix
As I'm sure you know by now, I have a serious obsession with the color PINK! Doesn't it just make you SO happy!? (My fave thing is when the fiance wears his pink shirts! umm...HOT!)
Anyway, I picked up Lorac blush in Desire yesterday, because I've been eyeing it for awhile. Although I definitely have enough bright pink blushes (that don't even look that great on me, but i LOVE to wear! haha anyone else do that!??) this one is special! (aren't they all!?) it's a pinky-mauve and so much brighter than this pic. Anyway, I love it and if you see someone walking around with the mad 80's cheeks, it's probably me! :P

Val and I found this Two Faced Mood Swing lip balm when she was down in March, and she got it because it is just SO GORGEOUS on her! it starts off whiteish-clear and then turns the most AMAZING pink color! So, I finally caved and picked one up for myself! Sometime I make such good decisions! hehe

Speaking of Urban Decay

OMG, I'm sooo excited about this! Urban Decay is coming out with a special Book of Shadows on the 15th, and it's for...Alice in Wonderland! I can't wait to see the movie, and now I can't wait to see this palette in real life! Haha, just when I told myself I didn't need anymore makeup...
All the shadows are named after things in the book (like White Rabbit and Mad Hatter!) and I'm sure it'll be amazing!
Sisters Recommend...
I got the Urban Decay Sustainable Palette a few weeks before Chrismas and liked it so much that I had to get one for my sis! (So sad we live so far away and can't share anymore!) We are both ALL over the amazing colors- all shimmery, but some more so than others. They are so smooth and the pigmentation in amazing! Also super blendable. We both highly recommend it, with four thumbs up!

Face Candy
YUM! Here are some of my newest faves...
Too Faced Pink Leopard Bronzer- A shimmery, gorgeous color! Sometimes I like to go a little overboard with this stuff! (I sparkle like a vampire- New Moon on Friday! Woohoo!)
This foundation blends so well and has some awesome staying power! As for the HD part, well I haven't tested that out yet...But it's super smooth and provides coverage without looking thick- no one wants that!
Can't stop smelling myself!!!...ok, I'm OBSESSED! Every time I'd walk by this perfume I'd have to spray some on, so finally I caved and got it- best purchase EVER!
MAC Show Orchid. Such an amazing pink color. How am I supposed to resist that?!

Beauty Review
I am in LOVE with this Blush/Bronzer duo! I've been using the uberpopular Orgasm/Laguna for awhile (which I also love!) but wanted to try something different and more fall/winter-ish. Sin is a mauve-pink color with slight gold shimmer that I thought might be too dark for my fair skin, but I use just a teeny bit and the color is perfect! Casino is a bit darker than Laguna and less orangy (which i really like)- perfect for a little contouring! I would definitely recommend this for anyone- even if you have fair skin- don't be scared! It's soooo pretty and it will last forever!

3 Treasures

The BF and I were looking at diamond rings (EEEK!) the other day and the saleslady was saying how is just the nature of women to be attracted to sparkly things...no one knows why! And it's so true!
HAPPY FRIDAY LOVERS!
Also, HAPPY THANKSGIVING to everyone back in Canada! I will miss going up north and seeing the fam, all the beautiful fall colors, the lake...
BUT, no complaints because we're going to Charleston for the weekend and I'm bringing my dollface friend Jaime- SO EXCITED!!! Plus it's supposed to be HOT and SUNNY!

Glam Time
Going out tonight for my friend's birthday! Woohoo, an opportunity to get out of bummy school clothes! Getting some makeup inspiration from the Spring '10 shows...I'm in LOVE with Dior (first look) and I have that exact lipstick color (MAC Dsquared collection 'Blood Red'- SO pretty and dramatic! Will review soon!). Not sure if I could rock the orange (Prada) with my skin tone. Next two: Dolce & Gabbana- obsessed with this look but I think that could be for daytime. Lanvin- mmm...seriously smokey eyes- love it with the nude lip! I've been wearing nude lipstick obsessively for the past few weeks, so I think it's time for some color!
I hope you Lovers all have a fun, fabulous weekend!!!

Pink Perfection

The other day, I picked up this super pretty Sonia Kashuk case for my makeup brushes. (Loving Target and their special makeup artist collections!) I'm in LOVE with the pattern and the silver clasp detailing. I haven't tried any of her makeup, but I do love the brushes. They're good quality and very affordable. If anyone has tried anything from her line, I'd love to hear some reviews!
Also picked up MAC eyeliner in Coffee (It's a dark brown- obv, hence the 'coffee' name). I was tired of black, and brown is just much softer for my light skin- but still dark enough to wear out at night. Also love it- the pencil is super soft.

Dangerous though because there are several other MAC products that I fell in love with as well...you'll see them soon! xxx

Shimmer Time
Hello Beauties!
So, recently I've been exploring makeup a bit more...I've always been a "just the basics" kind of girl- especially since I'd rather spend money on clothes! But, lately I've been reading TONS of makeup reviews and blogs, and it's totally inspired me to try something new!
Maybe something like this?
Anyway, since I don't really know what I like/what colours are best for me, I thought I'd try this Coastal Scents palette with 88 different shades! Yup, 88! There's no point in buying expensive brands if you don't know what you like (PS. this palette is recommended by lots of MAC lovers!)

And the reveiws of it (trust me I've read all of them, and all of their competitors too! Yes, I'm nerdy, but I like to have all the intel before I make a purchase!) are amazing- seriously, for $20, does it get any better? I got the 'shimmery' palette because I LOVE a little sparkle! It should be arriving soon and I can't wait to let you know what I think- ohh and show you some looks too!

Beauty Buys
Sadly, I can spend hours and hours on sephora.com reading about (quite possibly useless!) products! Who doesn't want to believe that this cream will get rid of cellulite, and this one will give you glowing, blemish-free skin?! My favourite part- also the one that sucked 5 hours out of my day on last weekend- is reading the customer reviews! There are thousands of them! Some are more funny that helpful, but they are pretty interesting. Here are a few products I was considering and will hopefully pick up some samples when Katie and I go SHOPPING tonight! Can't wait!!!
Eye cream with SPF? sounds good...
'Enzymes' gets me every time! But I do want a nice mask...and these products are all natural!
Walnut Scrub. Might be too harsh for my super-sensitive skin, but also natural! This brand has tons of good reviews. Plus pretty little jars- the packaging gets me all the time!
Also considering the sephora palette with the TONS of colours...it's pretty cheap and would be fun to experiment!
What are your fave beauty products- and do you think they realy work!?
