Here's the pic we used for our wedding invites! Our friend Aaron took it and it came out pretty awesome! I didn't think there would be any pics of me where I wasn't making a super awkward face, but fortunately they found one! Anyway, we did this in the driveway of a random church we found and the super cute old priest came out and we let him sit in the car...he felt so cool! (Don't forget to check out the license plate!)
OMG, 43 days until our wedding! I'm so excited! There's still so much to do....I've got 4 dresses pretty much done, 1 well in the works and 2 bridesmaids who might be walking down the aisle naked! Okay, that won't happen...we might do a little decoration DIY-ing this weekend. I'll try to get some pics soon!

Off to the fabric store this morning with my darling neighbours! I have to say, the fabric store is one of my favorite places to go- for inspiration, relaxation, excitement...hahaa yup, definitely solid entertainment for me! I need to get a few more things for my bridesmaids dresses, so it's especially exciting!

Playing House

I know, I know, I should be sewing...but I'm so distracted by creating my ultimate dream house!
Um, indoor, super- chic, ultra-luxe pool!? Yes please! I would have to have a teeny bit more room for a snack bar and some lounge chairs.
Next, a clean, cozy, bright SNUGGLEROOM! Those cushion are calling! I love the blue and grey together...
Pink kitchen!? Heck YES! Mine would be a little more modern, but the pink is perfect! Ugh...unfortunately I've been banned from pink paint for 16 months. No joke. :(
Ahhh, an outdoor oasis! Perfect for relaxing and entertaining! My one request is that it maintains itself, as I have a serious black thumb. So sad.
A dessert cart- that is always full of luscious cakes, cupcakes, pies and candies!
An uber-modern dining room- this one could be popped with whatever colour you're in the mood for! Everyone's invited to dinner!
And finally, a super modern house for Rowley- I will let her decorate however she likes! She'll have a dessert cart of puppy treats- the mini version of mine!
K, back to my sewing dungeon! You think I'm being over dramatic, but it really looks like something very colorful exploded all over the room and I'm in constant shackles of thread and fabric!
I miss the world!

Project Bridesmaid Update

I'm not sure if I've ever posted about this project, because it's so close to my heart, but here goes!
I'm about half way through sewing my bridesmaids dresses! About a quarter way through, I definitely had some concerns about taking on this project! I have 7 bridemaids, and only one lives within a two hour drive! The others are all at least 12 hours away. As you can probably assume, this makes fittings pretty much impossible! I definitely don't want to be sewing the whole night before the wedding! I know it will be okay, but I do have moments of slight panic, where I imagine the dresses looking, and fitting, nothing like I hoped! Don't get me wrong though- I'm totally happy with what I have so far- I just hope the girls will love them! Okay, back to my life in the sewing dungeon!!!
