Casual White

Happy Monday Beauties!
Sunday for me always includes some lounging, catching up on reading, and just generally relaxing! This one involved my September Bazaar! hehe
I was feeling the whites yesterday. I got these linen pants at Guess last year- I love them because (you can't see in the pic) they have gold thread pinstripes that just add such a fun detail! The top is from Old Navy, where I rarely go because I have a hard time finding things that fit me well and that I feel are good quality. This top (on sale for $8!) is super soft, long, and has ruffles- which I can never get enough of!

I've been tagged by the FAB Gerri to reveal 10 random facts about myself...so here goes!

1. I get ridiculously excited about the smallest things- I think it freaks people out if they don't know me :P
2. Charleston, SC is my favourite city- it's where my BF is from and where I want to live!
3. I check out girls waaay more than guys (which my BF appreciates! haha) because I like to see what they're wearing.
4. I am obsessed with Frank's Red Hot- best hot sauce ever- and sometimes I drink it out of the bottle!
5. Along with designing clothes, I also want to be a consultant so I can help women look their best and feel good about themselves- SO important, right!?
6. When people walk by me, they always look at my feet (I just recently realized this and figured out why- it's because I'm freak tall and they're looking to see if I'm wearing heels!)
7. I HATE clutter but I have the hardest time getting rid of things- this includes empty cereal boxes- they are just so colourful and fun! See what I mean?! (I'm working on it...)
8. I met my boyfriend in Sweden when we were both studying abroad- it's nuts when I think of all the things in our lives that had to happen to get us both there at the same time...
9. I love talk-radio. I will always choose NPR over music. I know, so nerdy!
10. I spy on my boyfriend when he's getting dressed and then try to match his outfit! He gets mad, but I think that he secretly likes it!

Saturday Styles

The BF and I went to Southpark (the really nice mall near us), and then out for dinner with some friends. There are so many sales on right now...it was really hard to resist. But, I'm making a big effort to "shop my closet" and rediscover things that have been hiding in the back!

Early September

I'm SO excited to see this movie. Get ready people, it's going to be awesome! The issue should be arriving in my mailbox shortly- I wonder if it'll fit- and I can't wait to see it! Just got my September Bazaar (my ultimate fave magazine) and am going to get on that in a few seconds!

So I'm back, after a little blog-break! I'm back in NC, and it's SO good to be home! Although it was really sad to leave my fam and friends (I had the BEST summer!), I'm so happy to be back with the BF and my cat! hehee
We're starting our house-hunt and all I can think about is decorating! I'm also on the search for a wedding dress! Nope, not for me (yet! hehe) but for a friend of mine. I'm so excited, because there's nothing I like better than a Fashion Mission!!!

Cover Style

Katherine Heigl looks stunning on the cover of the August 2009 issue of In Style, wearing a Roberto Cavalli dress. I'm so in love with her right now- go see The Ugly Truth, people! It's awesome (and yes, I just saw it for a second time! hehe...) Can't wait to read the issue!

Morning Sunshine!

Mornings are by far my favorite time of the day- especially weekend ones! Every morning is a fresh start, a time to lie around, read a book, cuddle, have breakfast in bed, go for a morning swim, shower, choose an outfit, drink tea, put on make-up, read the newspaper, bask in the fresh sunlight... and don't forget cute pj's, the softest lingerie, amazing bedhead... It's just that time before the madness of the day starts- there's a strange calmness and excitement about it that I love.
Yesterday morning. cottage. woke up. lay in bed. got up. ate watermelon. went outside. picked raspberries. sat in the sun and talked to BFF. drank tea. read magazine. made eggwiches. sat around with the fam. all in pj's.

Two Thumbs Up...

More, if I had more thumbs!
Our date night was SO much fun! The movie was REALLY good! I highly recommend it! And also, not just for girls- there's enough guy humor in there to make it a perfect balance for everyone. It really is the funniest, cutest movie I've seen in a long time! Katherine Heigl and Gerard Butler were both perfect in their roles and they had good chemistry too! So, go see it and let me know if you agree!
For dinner we went to one of my fave places- the Yellow Cup Cafe. It's one of those places where the location kinda sucks (in this teeny strip mall) and it's small, but the menu is EXTENSIVE and DELICIOUS!!! You can definitely find something, no matter what you're craving! (I had meant to take pics of our food, but by the time I remembered, it was gone! I guess it's better this way- I wouldn't want you to drool all over the keyboard:) hehe)
Before the movie, we stopped at my FAVE place- Bulk Barn! for some snacks. This place is AMAZING! It looks slightly ghetto, but you can get pretty much ANYTHING in bulk- including perfect movie treats! Also has baking supplies, grains, soup bases...really, everything! My friends and I even took cake decorating classes there a few years ago. If you live in Canada, go. If not, it's a good enough reason to visit!:) HAPPY FRIDAY LOVERS! Happy LONG weekend (to some of you!)
We're celebrating my friend's birthday tonight (so excited for a GLAM night out!) and then I'm off to the cottage to hang out with my bro and the rest of the fam!
