We picked up Katie from the airport yesterday and drove downtown to get some lunch. On the way, I stopped to check on the Juicy jacket that I have been drooling over for a few months now! I knew it was on sale, but it was still a little too expensive. We walked into the store and I found out that all the sale stuff was an extra 25% off. I could work with that! So then I tried it on- there was only 1 left in my size. As I was taking it off, the back of a button fell off. The sales lady immediately said she could take 10% off! I have no idea what it was that fell off, but it didn't come from that jacket! So anyway, that was my luck of yesterday and I got to bring home my new poofy pink cozy coat!

The End of '08

Hey Hotties!
The bf and I left Florida yesterday morning after a fun breakfast with the fam. It was sad to leave because I don't get to see everyone that much anymore since I moved to the US, but I'm actually going back to Toronto in about a week so it wasn't as bad as usual! It just sucks because my little sis isn't going to be there....(I miss you K!) The drive from Florida to Charleston was looong, but not too painful, I guess! We stopped at a mall about half way, and it was definitely worth it- I found my New Years dress!!! I am soooo excited to wear it. I just want to post it right now, but I will wait till I have the whole outfit together! Also, one of my besties is flying in from Toronto to spend New Years here, so I'm sure we'll be taking lots of pics when we're all dolled up! I'm picking her up in about 3 hours and I'm so excited!
Here are some pics from my last night in Florida (wearing: free people dress). Every year we take our cousins out for mini-golf and dinner! This year was Safari golf and then dinner at Hooters! It was tons of fun and, as usual, a little nuts!

Boxing Day!

Hello Sunshines!

Boxing day shopping was exhausting, but super fun! I found a few things, got some sweet deals, and managed to make it to the beach after lunch!

I wore my new DvF dress to my grandparents 62nd anniversary dinner. I remember seeing this dress in a magazine and loooving it! when I saw it in real life, it was even more spectacular! 

Other things I got:

1. white blouse, fitted with ruffled sleeves and cute buttons

2. white linen juicy shorts with ruffles

3. michael kors trenchy-rain jacket

4. black/grey/silver plaid 3/4 sleeve jacket

Anyway, back to the beach for now! I'll post more pics later!

Christmas 2008

Morning Christmas Elves!

I hope santa was good to everyone and you all had an amazing Christmas! It's boxing day morning, which means very soon I'll be going shopping! Happy Wigilia!

Hey Christmas Elves!


 Last Friday was our friend Ben's art show opening. He created an installation where everything is made out of trash. He's been working on the pieces in our garage like a maniac for the past few months so it was really cool to see it all come together. 

I'm in Florida now where out internet connection is a little slow so I'm only posting a few pics! My fave is the bottom one where le BF and his friend and being funny with the peppermint bark! Yes, I actually hang out with them...

Today is our big Christmas! We do the whole Polish thing (which is what 'Wigilia' is, for those wondering about the title of this post!), so tomorrow is basically nothing... the cooking has started and the presents are waiting under the tree! I'm excited to get some beach time in and lots of shopping!!! It's sunny and beautiful and time to get outside!

I Smell Candy

Olfactory Conundrum

It's time for a new scent and I'm trying to decide between these two perfumes. I'm having a really hard time because they both smell amazing! Right now I'm leaning towards the kate moss- it's the less sweet of the 2, but I looove the Dior as well! What do you guys think?!

It was so beautiful yesterday, and the perfect afternoon for a boat ride! We went all around the Charleston harbor...plus we saw dolphins and giant cargo ships (which for some reason fascinate me!). 

Back in Durham now, preparing for the next trip- Florida in 2 days! I can't wait to have some more sun! It's hard to believe it's a week before Christmas!

Fall '08 is not even over and the Pre-Fall '09 collections are out. Here are some Roberto Cavalli looks that I want to wear right now! I've never seen a Cavalli collection I didn't like. Now if only I could actually get some...
Next fall is looking good so far- lots of feathers, plaid and sparkles!

Heat Baby!

I woke up this morning only to find myself back in Charleston! hehe...We drove down last night with Aaron and his girlfriend Rosie, who is visiting from England! We're here for a few days and then it's back home to make it to Ben's art show opening which I am very excited to post pictures of! He's been working on it in our garage for the past few months and it's going to be AMAZING!

Okay, so Charleston...oh man, I love it here! It's supposed to be 7o degrees today! (for all you Canadians, that means 21! as in WARM!) ahaha I think only I get excited this excited about warm weather...but it means skirt and tee time! We're going to go get a real Southern breakfast and then walk around downtown!

Ice Princess Eyes

Last night Joe fiiinally got back from Orlando and we went to Aaron's party! I went with what I call "ice princess eyes" and a fairly casual outfit...I think the eyes look a little scary, but thats what I was going for. And you can't see my lips very well, but they are silver!

Designer of the Week: Loewe

It's been awhile since I've done a Designer of the Week, so here we go! This week I chose the Spring '09 collection from Loewe. I feel in love with this collection because of the random mix of styles that just work so well together. It's sort of a naval/military/flight attendant look mixed with romantic ruffles, gold accents, chunky bangles and awesome shoes! Oh, and don't forget the bags- I'll take one of each! I think my fave is the purse on the long chain in the second pic! Love it!

Becks Success

Speaking of Victoria Beckham, this video of her clothing collection is super cute! I wish I could try on any of these dresses, but I heard they sold out ridiculously fast! Not that I'm too surprised...I'm happy it's so popular because I feel like she's one of the few celebrities who has legitimately infiltrated the fashion industry. These days, what celebrity isn't trying to make some extra cash by designing something.  Anyway, watch this because it is so fun!

I heart Pouncerella!

      

I love my cat, Pouncer because she is the cutest, snuggliest, most playful cat ever! She always has to know what's going on and insists on tasting everything I cook. We study together and she quizzes me. She loves fashion, movies, and having her picture taken! We are hanging out tonight and missing Joe, who is in Orlando with the car for the week.

Star Style Faves

It's one thing to have a stylist to make you look stunning on the red carpet, but awesome personal style is not found too often in Hollywood! It's not hard to look good when you have unlimited access to amazing clothes, but there really is more to it than that. You can buy clothes, but you can't buy style...well, I guess you do when you pay someone to dress you...whatever, you know what I mean! Like Ice...

I would say I'm generally pretty good at shopping- especially when it comes to finding sweet deals! This is one of my recent purchases that was pretty unbelievable (and by one of my favourite designers no less!). This Alice + Olivia dress usually retails for about $500. I got it for....$10! Yup, not bad eh! I'm sure you can imagine my excitement...mmmm so sparkly!

Bright Tights!

Before my exam yesterday, I did a little bit of Christmas shopping. I also picked up some fun coloured tights!

I have 1 exam left tomorrow and then I'm free until January! This morning we had our fashion illustration exam which was a lot fun! Best exam ever- I got to colour! No complaints here! Okay, I'm off to study. It's pouring rain here and there are tornado warnings everywhere so that means some snuggling under my electric blanket! 

Shop alert: I got this Theory dress a few weeks ago and I can't wait to wear it! I love the colour and the very subtle shine.
